PAC Roles + New Assistant Treasurer + AGM

PAC Volunteer Opportunities: 2018/2019 School Year

Communications Coordinator

Through the PAC Website, weekly blog posts provide a way to share information with our school community. The PAC is looking for someone to take over this role, which includes coordinating information from PAC members and drafting weekly blog posts.  Time commitment is approximately half an hour per week.  Outgoing Communications Coordinator, Yael Zachs, will continue to oversee social media and will be available to support the new Communications Coordinator throughout the year. A great way to stay in the know about who’s who and what’s happening at the school!

Spirit Wear Coordinator

Each year, the PAC provides opportunities for students and parents to purchase Dorothy Lynas branded clothing. It takes a little bit of work behind the scenes to make this happen.  The Spirit Wear Coordinator liaises with the vendor and coordinates the orders to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of purchases made.  Total time commitment is 10 to 15 hours, which could be less if the role is shared between a few people.

New Assistant Treasurer

Our PAC Treasurer, Wayne Audette, is delighted to announce that the position of Assistant Treasurer has been filled. Dagne Fortin and her partner Keith Lownie will meet with Grace Niegos next month to begin training, and to ensure a seamless transition to the 2018/19 school year.  Dagne’s daughter Katelyn is in grade 2 French Immersion. Keith is a CPA / Associate Professor who teaches Accounting, and Dagne has extensive business experience in various industries.  They are in the process of setting up an online CPA accounting practice, and they look forward to helping out our PAC in their spare time! Grace has served quietly, and with distinction, as the PAC Assistant Treasurer/Bookkeeper for the past two years, and we acknowledge her contributions.”

PAC Meeting & AGM

Please mark your calendars and join us on Monday May 14th at 7pm in the Multipurpose Room for our monthly PAC meeting and this year’s Annual General Meeting.
