Girls with Grit: Only a Few Days Left to Register!

Tuesdays
May 1
to 22 from 3:30 to 5:00pm

Let’s raise a generation of girls who are mentally happy and healthy, who know it’s okay to be strong and soft at the same time, who know how to deal with adversity, and who are totally in-tune with their unique awesome-ness. At Girls with Grit, we use yoga to show how strong our bodies are, mindful meditation (aka #braintrain) to show how strong our spirits are, and awesome crafts to show how strong our creative sparks are. We also talk about real topics like friendships, stress, pressure, stereotypes, technology, compassion, empathy and what being an awesome girl is really all about. Oh yeah – we also laugh a lot!

And we’d love you to join us.

Thank You for a Night of Bingo!

Our first ever Family Bingo Night, held this past Friday, April 20, was a huge success thanks to a fantastic turnout from our Dorothy Lynas family community!  With 111 people in attendance, the evening proved to be loads of fun for all! The PAC would like to sincerely thank the following amazing individuals who helped make our first ever Family Bingo Night a reality:

Principal Todd & Vice Principal Wheatley — and an extra big thank you to Principal Todd for joining us on Friday evening and for the inspiring idea of a Family Bingo Night.

The Dorothy Lynas Office — with special thanks to Shelley Jelstad for her guidance and support.

Mr. Drew and his AV Team — a very special thank you to Alison Branch for taking care of our AV needs throughout the evening.

Ian Milford – for bringing his wit and charm to the centre stage as our Bingo Caller.

Our Set Up, Food Service and Take Down Volunteers — events like this don’t happen without the amazing support of generous individuals like all of you.

And once again a big thank you to everyone who attended!  We hope to see you next year at Family Bingo Night 2019!
