Ok parents, let’s talk about “the talk”. Our kids have inquiring minds. Great. But as they gather information on the playground at recess and with their friends on the weekends, there will be lots of information and misinformation being exchanged, especially when it comes to their changing bodies. Are you ready to answer the questions they might come home with? Embracing their curiosity isn’t as tough as you might think. Join us Tuesday, February 16th, 6:30-8:00 pm for Body Science by Cath Blythe from Saleema Noon Sexual Health Educators.
“During these open and informational sessions, parents will come to terms with sexual health, and understand how it fits into their child’s world at this stage of their lives. Parents will discover how to easily overcome embarrassment when talking about sexual health, learn words and concepts that are easy to use, and leave well equipped to clearly answer the myriad of questions all children are sure to ask.”
Breakout sessions with our students during the week will teach them how their bodies change, and what those changes mean.
The workshops are light hearted, but deliver straight and current facts on how parents and children can work together to promote good decisions for a lifetime. Seating is limited so please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org, childcare available upon request. This session directly follows the PAC Meeting at 6:00-6:30 pm in the MPR. All welcome to join!
